Hervé Le Tellier with an open book

Holder of a DEA in astrophysics and a Prix Goncourt won in 2020, Hervé Le Tellier is what we call an anomaly. Not refusing any constraint, this is the only constraint that this writer who has worked within Oulipo since 1992, as president of the group since 2019, and who is publishing a new edition of the Liquid Tales by Jaime Montestrela which he would have translated from Portuguese, illustrated by Killofer.

The founding members of Oulipo liked to describe themselves as “rats who themselves construct the labyrinth from which they intend to escape”. It is therefore quite natural that “Comme un Samedi” suggests to Hervé Le Tellier to compose his own labyrinth, a carte blanche in his image. On the program for this show:
Oulipesque friendship, with the writer and visual artist Clémentine Méloisalso a member of the group since 2017.
Eclecticism and exploration will also be discussed with the pianist Vanessa Wagnerwith whom Hervé Le Tellier shares a love of music. The pianist will make the notes of Grieg and Tchaikovsky resonate in our studio for live music. She will also accompany the writer during the live speech, during which he will read to us some of the Liquid Tales by the Portuguese poet Jaime Montestrela, of which he has just published a new edition this fall.
And since Hervé Le Tellier likes to play with words, the theater will obviously be there, with the director Frédéric Bélier-Garcia.

Live music: Vanessa Wagner

Consecrated “Instrumental Soloist Revelation” at the Victoires de la Musique Classique in 1999, Vanessa Wagner has since gone through the cycle of seasons with never-changing confidence in her instrument: the piano. Confidence is needed to be able to express, through a succession of touches, an intimacy that does not speak its name. For Vanessa Wagner, music is a matter of state of mind, as much as it is a story of exploration. Navigating from classical recital to minimalist repertoire, including electronica, she constantly brings together styles and eras. One day, she celebrated an incongruous marriage between Franz Liszt and Arvo Pärt – it was on the La Dolce Volta label in 2018. Another, she jumped headlong into contemporary creation and ambient music. This work is largely found in the albums she published on the InFiné label: sat in 2016, with the Mexican musician Murcof, then three other formidable records of originality ( Inland , Study of the Invisible et Mirrored ).

Vanessa Wagner is back with not one but two albums, both released on La Dolce Volta: Everlasting Seasons solo, and Piano Twins in duet with the pianist Wilhem Latchoumia, with whom she had already recorded the album This is America!. For this live music, live from studio 621 of the Maison de la radio, Vanessa Wagner gives us the pleasure of sharing part of her solo album, with two extracts from Lyrical Pieces d’Edvard Grieg, Papillon et Impromptu Waltzbefore interpreting June – Barcarolle from Tchaikovsky’s Seasons.
