Books: Traveling Literature stops in Rabat

On October 5 and 6, the Traveling Literature Festival is held in Rabat. This fifth edition confirms, if necessary, the success of its organizer, Nadia Essalmi, and will pay tribute to Abdelfattah Kilito.

The morning of the 5th will take place at the National Library of the Kingdom of Morocco (BNRM) with two round tables on the theme “Literature and memories”. The first in Arabic, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with speakers Abdelfattah KIlito, Mohammed Achaari, Joukha Elharthi and Achraf Elashmawi under the moderation of Sghir Janjar.

The second in French, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with speakers Yasmine Chami, Nimrod Bena, Georgia Makhlouf and Laurent Gaudé, moderated by Adil Hajji. At 1 p.m., the winners of the short story competition will be announced.

Hassan II Park invested by books (and stories)
Nadia Essalmi also being the first publisher to launch into books for young people, with Yomad editions, it is not surprising that she thought of the youngest. Parents will be able to entrust them, from 4 p.m., to three storytellers who will nourish the imagination of young and old alike.

Abdeliah Kattabi, Demba Mbaye and Princess Lety Tchouguen will be happy to amaze your children in two languages ​​(Arabic and French) at the amphitheater of Parc Hassan II. As for adults, 20 authors from five continents will be waiting to discuss, exchange and sign their books in the park, Saturday and Sunday.

Finally, the next day, the Caravan of women writers, composed of Georgia Makhlouf, Diane Régimbald, Denise Desautels, Laure Mi Hyun Croset, Tanella Boni, Fatma Bouvet de La Maisonneuve, Marielle Anselmo and Nadia Essalmi will go to Marrakech (on 7 and 8 October), then Essaouira (9th and 10th) and Agadir (11th and 12th). This caravan is organized in partnership with the Parliament of Francophone Writers and the OIF.
