Amnesty International returns with its traditional Book Fair in Bar-le-Duc

In Bar-le-Duc (Meuse), this weekend, the October 5 and 6 next, the Dumas room is transformed into a book temple on the occasion of the traditional fair organized by Amnesty International.

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.thousands of books will await visitors and this year again, there will be something for everyone: novels, children’s books, religious books, and even historical documents.

A solidarity book fair

The proceeds from these books sold at low prices will go directly to the benefit of the non-governmental organization.

The volunteers who organized the event will also be present to raise awareness about the causes that Amnesty International defends.

Volunteers mobilized to support human rights

The association fights for human rights around the world. She will suggest four petitionsconcerning emblematic cases of rights violations: a Saudi woman convicted for defending women’s rights, another in Poland imprisoned for assisting in an abortion, a Vietnamese activist and safety issues on TikTok for young people.

The Amnesty International book fair is open Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Dumas room. Entrance is free.
