Kevin Lambert is already back with a new novel

The Quebec author offers this October 4 The Snow Trailsjust a few months after the success of May our joy remain.

Kevin Lambert is a prolific author. At 32, the writer from Montreal is preparing to release a new book entitled The Snow Trails published by Nouvel Attila, expected in bookstores from October 4, 2024.

In this fantastic novel inherited from his adolescent readings, the author is interested in childhood and the Christmas celebration, following the quest of two cousins, Zoey and Émie-Anne, who seek to escape from endless meals to save one of their heroes who escaped from a video game. Between metaphor around family trauma, exploration of the past and symbolism and passage to adulthood after a last Christmas where anything is possible, Kevin Lambert offers a deep and touching initiatory journey, confirming his ability to handle all genres and his great sensitivity.

This new novel is therefore particularly anticipated, and could well mark this literary return.

A new success after confirmation?

If Kevin Lambert has been at the forefront of the literary scene for several years – with the success of You’ll love what you killed in 2018 then Quarrel in 2019 at Éditions Héliotrope —, it truly experiences confirmation in 2023 with May our joy remaina vibrant tribute to his hometown of Montreal.

In this book, the writer followed a promising young architect in charge of imagining and designing the architectural future of the city, while questioning notions of urban planning, inequalities and class privileges.

His novel, published by Editions du Nouvel Attila, has widely attracted the attention of readers and professionals, appearing in the selection of several competitions – including the prestigious Prix Goncourt – and winning the 2023 editions of the Prix Décembre and the Prix Médicis.

An important recognition for the young writer, who tries his hand at another genre in Snow trailswithout losing its desire to convey strong messages.
