Former police captain specializing in anti-crime, Laurent Guillaume, inspired by his experiences, launched his career as a writer with Mako in 2009.

After years in narcotics and an advisory role in Mali, he joined the financial brigade in 2011.

The year 2012 marked a turning point, when Laurent left the uniform for writing. Always thirsty for escape, this enthusiast of geopolitics, literature and thrillers in particular is fascinated by worlds elsewhere. This is how he became an architect of justice – as an international consultant – tracking organized crime, particularly in West Africa.
