Arnage. Around ten books were chosen by readers

During the book café on Tuesday, around ten readers gathered to present the books they had read during the holidays. During these meetings, books are named favorites by readers. They are then honored with a badge and the name of the reader who named it.

Nicole named The library of burned books, by Brianna Labuskes, like her favorite: I like books that talk about books, about booksellers. Here, we navigate between three women who fight against censorship. We also navigate temporally between the Second World War and a more recent date. It is the German who will create a library of burned books to preserve them.

She named a second book, My husband, by Maud Ventura: We recognize ourselves in the couple. It’s a thriller. His neighbor, Jean-Paul, presented Flight, by Aurélie Valognes: It is a book that tells the story between a mother and her daughter. At first close, their closeness will be turned upside down by the girl’s social ascension. Everything ends well”, reassures Jean-Paul. Marcelle shares this opinion: It’s a book that circulates in my family. He accompanies us in our lives.

Tuesday October 29, at 8 p.m., next book café.
