Author, screenwriter and iconic Quebec figure, Janette Bertrand, is preparing to launch her new book One Hundred Years of Love, Reflections on Old Age October 23, 2024. As she prepares to celebrate her 100th birthday in 2025, Bertrand, still passionate about changing mentalities, continues her work by sharing her thoughts on old age. This new book looks at her “fourth act,” offering a sincere and poignant look at old age.

In parallel with the release of this book, Bertrand has already planned a series of commemorative activities to mark her centennial. These include a play, photo exhibitions, the inauguration of murals in her honour and television specials. These events will highlight not only the cultural legacy she leaves behind, but also her demands for a more inclusive and respectful society for seniors.

With One hundred years of loveJanette Bertrand wishes to continue her commitment to changing perceptions, recalling that aging is not an obstacle, but a new stage to embrace with wisdom and dignity.

Janette Bertrand has written in a variety of fields, including journalism, novels and television, with
the goal of breaking taboos. Her work has been recognized many times, including the 2021 Guy Corneau Hommage Award. Her show Janette Bertrand et ses perles de sagesse won a Silver Award at the New York Festivals Radio Awards. In 2023, she was also named a Grand Officer of the National Order of Quebec.
