The store closures concern two Furet du Nord stores, in Villeneuve d’Ascq and Roubaix (Nord), and three Decitre bookstores, one in the Paris region (Bezons), the other two in the Alps (Grenoble and Annemasse).
These stores are ” structurally in deficit “, assures Nathalie Leleu. According to her, the cause is a ” economically very fragile bookstore world “, as well as an increase in charges and rents which is plunging some bookstores into the red.
