The computer is placed on a corner of the living room table, one of the walls of which disappears behind a bookcase. In the kitchen, hot coffee flows into the cups while a little dog follows her master’s trail. Welcome to Benjamin Stock, who is taking part in various interviews for the first time in his life. Forces his nature to speak into the microphone of Interin the morning of Wednesday December 11, 2024.

A professional communicator, the winner of the Flore 2024 prize, has lived in Coudreceau, commune of Arcisses near Nogent-le-Rotrou, for some time with his partner and their first child, a few months old.

“Releasing this book is a miracle”

“Releasing this book is already a miracle,” says the 36-year-old man, with shoulder-length brown hair and a kind smile. “So to win a prize with it… I was lucky. A member of the jury came across my book by chance, tried to impose it during the first selections, and it passed,” he relates modestly. Almost still looking surprised that his work is on the bookstore shelves.
