Lomener's two book boxes, shaped like beach cabins, are ideally placed on the route between the car parks and the port. They are popular with both summer vacationers and residents all year round. Every day, Books are placed and removed there.
Installed in 2016 on an initiative of the Lomener port d'attache association (LPA), they were designed and financed by this association and built by students from the Regional Adapted Education Establishment (Erea) of Kergalan, under the supervision of advice from their carpentry teacher and put in place by City services. LPA decided to name them in the name of two former administrators of the association who died in 2019.
Thus, one was baptized Armelle, from the first name of Armelle Casareggio, vice-president of the association at the time of her death, and the other Marie, from the first name of Marie Ecobichon, treasurer of the association at the time of her death. his death.
The ceremony, full of emotion, took place Saturday morning, in the presence of families, friends of LPA and Claudie Le Bihan, culture assistant.
Alain Vannier, president of the association, recalled this history and Emerique Baette, grandson of Armelle, unveiled the two plaques.
