That’s it, it’s time to submit your candidacy for the Political Book Prize of the National Assembly of Quebec!

Since 2003, the National Assembly of Quebec has encouraged and supported authors of political by awarding its literary prizes. In doing so, it contributes to highlighting political literature among its members and the general public, while promoting a better understanding of Quebec parliamentary institutions. $20,000 in scholarships are awarded to the winners as well as the finalists.

The Presidential Awards reward the excellence and originality of a work dealing with Quebec politics, institutions as well as political actors and actresses. A scholarship of $6,500 is awarded to the winner and two others of $2,000 are awarded to the finalists. The Jean-Charles-Bonenfant Foundation Prizes recognize the quality and originality of doctoral theses and master’s theses on Quebec politics, life and political institutions. A scholarship of $4,000 is awarded to the winner for their doctoral thesis and one of $1,500 is given to the finalist. A $3,000 scholarship is awarded to the winning person for their master’s thesis, while a $1,000 scholarship is awarded to the finalist.

People interested in submitting their book, thesis or dissertation have until January 24, 2025 to apply. It’s here to fill out a form! The winners will be revealed next spring.
