Meditation and visualization will be the watchwords of the popular author during his next visit to the Palais Montcalm, where he will present his show Domestic journey.
This is a first stop in Quebec for this production which has already passed through Montreal in spring 2024.
Alongside harpist Vanessa Francoeur, Bernard Werber wishes to invite spectators to delve into their childhood memories through some guided meditation experiences, in order to cross “the doors of their unconscious”.
And Domestic journey allows some people to discover certain facets of themselves, it is however a “non-therapeutic” exercise, however specified the writer in an interview with Soleil, last April.
“My job is a storyteller. […] In my Books or on stage, I make people forget [aux gens] their lives and I take them into new territory. This is the function that seems to me to be the basis of culture: escape and the opening of new perspectives,” he affirmed, as part of his appearance at the 2024 Quebec Book Fair.
Bernard Werber will be visiting the Palais Montcalm on September 18, 2025 with Domestic journey. Two performances are also planned in Montreal, at the Théâtre Outremont, on September 17 and 19.
