In La Fouillade, as soon as we talk about “Books” we think of the eponymous festival which for more than a quarter of a century has marked the village at the end of July. But also thanks to the municipal media library, numerous actions around the popularization of reading are making an impression. As Christmas approaches, several initiatives around the spread of reading resonate strongly. Thus, since the start of the school year in September, a group of volunteers from the media library have launched a very happy initiative with the aim of further popularizing reading. Like home delivery of meals for those who cannot travel, they offer home delivery of books. Thus Béatrice, Danielle, Joëlle, Dominique and Didier, with the support of professionals from the media library, imagined this very simple service. The approach concerns the inhabitants of La Fouillade, Saint-André de Najac, Sanvensa, Lunac and Bor-et-Bar. With their book pilgrim staff, they will go to the homes of residents who wish to drop off books, CDs, DVDs or magazines. The formula is simple, just register with Danielle on 05 65 65 70 03 who will give all the explanations. The cost of this service is €11 per year.
Authors for Christmas
In the same vein, as has been the case for several editions, the Book Festival will be present for a new literary encounter. At his invitation, validated by the APE organizer of the Christmas market, this Sunday, December 8 all day at the sports hall, six authors will come to meet their readers for, in particular, signing sessions. Will be present: the novelist Muriel Batave-Matton, Jeany Richard and her discovery books, the Occitan author Serge Gayral, Michel Lombard with his tales and legends and his village history, as well as the cartoonists Jean-Pierre Lambel and Amédée Albi. The first, present during the last festival, also came as a prelude to this one to meet the budding comic artists from the ASCBR workshop, partner of the new festival. A very important meeting for him as well as for the young participants who spoke with a cartoonist from their territory…
