The PCF 13 Federation opens the doors of its « Christmas of Culture », which will be held on Friday December 6 and Saturday December 7 at 280 rue de Lyon in Marseille (15e). This festive and engaged moment celebrates the promotion of progressive Books and offers a program rich in cultural discoveries, debates and meetings.
The “Christmas of Culture” highlights all the diversity of progressive literature. This event, organized with the participation of the Jean-Jacques Rousseau bookstore, is above all an opportunity to find your end-of-year gifts while supporting a committed cultural vision.
Led by the PCF13 literary initiative collective, which during the rest of the year organizes numerous debates, this Christmas is an opportunity, as the end-of-year holidays approach, to unearth nuggets of progressive literature, but also to attend numerous free meetings with authors, as well as artistic events. The first big meeting is at 6 p.m. this Friday for a meeting-debate with François Thomazeau, around his latest work Terminus Marseille. A historical thriller retracing a significant period in Marseille history, mixing police intrigue and social issues. The presence of many other authors is also announced. Highlight of this Christmas of culture, the discovery of Palestinian poetry with the reading of poems by young communists (11 a.m.), before ending with this questioning of “what humans do we want to be?” » with the former deputy Pierre Dharréville which will allow this question to be brought to the public debate (2:30 p.m.).
