AS PART OF THE 50 YEARS CELEBRATIONS ON APRIL 25, WHICH WILL END IN 2026, THE CONVIVIUM LUSOPHONE ASSOCIATION INVITES ALL YOUNG PEOPLE OF PORTUGUESE ORIGIN AND THE WHOLE COMMUNITY TO PARTICIPATE! As part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of April 25, 1974, the Convivium Lusophone association is organizing a meeting around Portuguese literature and music. On this occasion, the association will launch several Books from its “Editions Convivium Lusophone” to pay tribute to Álvaro Morna and all the Portuguese who, for political and economic reasons, were forced to leave Portugal before the revolution. 3 p.m. – Presentation of the book “Saudade Cité” – Alvaro Morna – A bilingual edition which explores the journeys and memories of those who left their native land, guided by hope and courage, and rebuilt their lives in foreign lands. Launch of the book “Secrets and life stories – Words of emigrants” – Collection of testimonies with the work of the association “O Sol de Portugal” reflecting the significant experiences of Portuguese emigration to France. 4:15 p.m. – LET’S SING ON APRIL 25 WITH ARTISTS FROM OUR COMMUNITY! Our friend, great guitarist, QUITO DE SOUSA ANTUNES, who has won guitar awards and medals in France, will share this moment with his association Guitar'Essonne. 4:45 p.m. – Broadcast of a report with the presence of the director and journalist, Catarina NEVES, for the Portuguese national channel SIC, on numerous musicians who have written and sung words of freedom, sometimes at the risk of ending up in prison. – Portuguese-language BOOK FAIR (Bilingual) – until 7 p.m. A unique opportunity for grandparents and parents to offer books in Portuguese to grandchildren for Christmas.
