After sixteen years spent in Civray, Cécile Daiguemorte, one of the pillars of the municipal library, decided to leave her position as librarian. She does not leave the Books however since she takes up an equivalent position at Smarves.
Cécile did not intend for this profession after a master's degree in human sciences with a history option obtained with honors. ” Yetshe said, it was a real discovery. I have a real love of this profession. » During her farewell drink, Mayor Emmanuel Brunet recalled that she arrived in 2008 as heritage assistant, while holding a position as town hall secretary in Linazay and running the Savigné library.
In Civray, with her colleague, she revitalized the library by offering unusual places, outside the walls, thus helping to reach a different audience. During the school holidays, for children, she held a series of workshops with collaborations with partners. Cécile thanked her colleagues whom she meets every day, her work colleague Nathalie, while talking about all the old people she met.
Friday November 29, 2024, for her last day in Civray, she welcomed library regulars with a coffee, a drink, and a cake. They all had a kind word, a rose, a flower… “Your welcome is always warm, your advice is precious and kind. » Cécile wanted to leave in all simplicity, she had not anticipated such an outpouring of sympathy.
