5th grade classes at Haie Griselle discovering

Last Friday, November 29, “La Libraire” Line Heckler spoke at the CDI of La Haie Griselle college to present the book professions.

Around thirty students in class 5e and their French teachers as well as the librarians Nathalie Picot and Prisca Rudatis organized a meeting as part of the event entitled “Young people in bookstores”.

The middle school students listened attentively to La Libraire talking about her job, her passion for and reading. She then explained the path of a book, from writing to publication, from the author submitting his manuscript through the choice of a publisher, to printing and sale in bookstores. . The schoolboys had prepared some sometimes indiscreet questions such as: “How much does a bookseller earn? » Line Heckler wanted to highlight her passion for her profession despite a modest income.

The meeting took place a few weeks ago. The students were thus able to carry out work upstream “ We gave them around twenty comics to read, stories, adaptations of literary stories, such as Treasure Island, Around the World in 80 Days. The students then relied on a reading notebook where they had to write summaries and their feelings. They then name their favorite comic book » explains the French teacher before concluding “ In the spring, we will visit the Line establishment to complete our project. Our goal is to give everyone a taste for reading.”
