Martin Dellicour, lover of our forests, continues: “In this book, I present my vision of the forest. Namely that of a slightly less tidy forest with, for example, twisted trees that are just as aesthetically beautiful”. A book in which we obviously also find the animals that inhabit these forests. “I really wanted to translate this balance that reigns between plants and animals within our forests. Furthermore, at the end of the book, a dialogue is established between me, the photographer, and the scientist, Marc Dufrene, professor at the University of Liège and Gembloux, specialist in biodiversity and forests. We discuss our respective visions of the forest, but also on its future in order to raise awareness of its importance and its preservation.
The book The Forest That Spoke to the Trees (€55) is available via the author’s website (www.martindellicour.be), but also, from Monday, in independent bookstores in the provinces of Luxembourg, Namur and Liège. Please note that this Wednesday, December 4 between 6 and 8 p.m., he will present and sign his book at the DHAM in Durbuy, where an exhibition is dedicated to him.
