“A beautiful car is a car that drives fast.”
Diverting Marcel Dassault's maxim (A beautiful plane is a plane that flies well)journalist Laurent Gentilhomme and photographer Dominique Giannelli, decided to revisit the aisles of the Mulhouse National Automobile Museum, Schlumpf Collection, by lingering in the Competition area.
In this third opus of the collection “Pretzel Garage”Dominique Giannelli pushed the FDL technique to the limit (Focus diffusion light) to transform these mechanical monsters, now stationary, into shooting stars, hypnotized by the checkered flag.
Twenty cars, from the “Jamais Contente” of 1899 to the Ferrari 312B of 1970, are magnified and detailed with passion and talent.
“At full speed, 20 cars from the National Automobile Museum”, says that a car at the head of the 24 Hours of Le Mans does not “rush” into the night, it “spins” like a star towards the laurels, which is much more elegant.
You must therefore rush to discover this astonishing and erudite book based on a unique collection.
