Chaired by the mayor, Martial Brunet, the last meeting of the municipal council of Sainte-Verge took place on Wednesday November 13, 2024. The members approved all the points submitted to the vote, starting with the decision of the municipality to offer each birth a voucher for a book to be collected from the library. As an indication, there have been eleven births in Sainte-Verge since the start of the year and the cost of a book is estimated at around fifteen euros.

Within the perimeter of the racecourse, the municipality owns a rural road which it does not maintain. It was decided to sell this path representing approximately 720 m² to the Société des courses for a symbolic euro, with the buyer responsible for covering the acquisition and surveyor costs. The councilors also decided to perpetuate the position of their town hall secretary whose fixed-term contract was coming to an end.

Martial Brunet informed his colleagues of the improvement in the healthcare offering at the Motels commercial space: on the one hand, the pharmacy will be equipped with a teleconsultation booth, and, on the other hand, a laboratory of medical analyzes was set up right next door. Still in the field of equipment, the municipality gives the green light to Franck Buffeteau to study the development of the town center of Pompois with, among other things, the installation of a city stadium.

The town, due to the originality of its name, sometimes has its town entrance signs stolen (a sign is worth around €150). Recently, two of these signs have disappeared. Finally, one of the two was recovered from the prefecture: it had been dismantled by angry farmers. Martial Brunet also expressed his dissatisfaction at being so often asked to resolve neighborhood conflicts: “People no longer speak to each other, they no longer communicate with each other”deplores the first magistrate.

The mayor's wishes for the year 2025 should take place on Saturday, January 18 at 11 a.m.
