Trees among the books at the media library

-

On Saturday, September 7, trees were invited to the Calvinothèque among the books. Sometimes unexpected photos like that of an old crooked stump or a whirlwind of greenery. Others more classic, at sunset and in different seasons, of leaning trees or lost in the middle of nowhere. Photos more beautiful than the others, even if unfortunately this third competition did not have the expected success with the participation of only three families.

Families and especially children that the volunteers of the Calvinothèque wanted to thank for their investment, each in their own field. For almost a year now, Laura, 13, comes every Wednesday and Saturday to welcome children and adults, for whom the functioning of a library will soon no longer hold any secrets. Marie, 12, passionate about drawing, begins to make posters for the different events. The theme of the competition, this year, is also she who chose it. Léo is always there, when it comes to reading something in public! When there are pancakes to make or drinks to serve, Laura and Marie are always ready to lend a hand. And on other occasions, like July 2 when the Calvinothèque welcomed the 50 children from the Haironville nursery school. Or, July 6 for the summer party, this time with Marie and her little sister Loïs. Or on April 20, Laura and Léo for a writing workshop with the poet Mélanie Leblanc. No doubt that young Loïs, Paula and Louis will soon follow their example. Besides, didn’t they also participate in the photo contest of the day, where there was no winner but seven winners.

A moment of conviviality that ended with a glass of friendship that brought together about twenty people and an announcement of the screening of a documentary, “La chevauchée sauvage”, on Thursday, November 21, followed by a debate with its director Pascal Varambon. A road trip in the East of France, meeting people from different backgrounds and ages who share a passion for 2CVs.
