Those of us, the new book by Louis Pralus has been released

Harvest. “Those from home” new book by Louis Pralus. After Chronicle of a destitute parish et A village on the edge of the Blue Route, published in July 2023, Louis Pralus, local writer and honorary journalist, has just released, Those from home, peasant stories, under the presses of the Nouvelle Imprimerie Laballery.

A look back at yesterday's life

In this book, he lets people speak, those he has always been around in his village of Vendranges or elsewhere, in his role as a journalist and those who told him about yesterday's life. This is how the reader will discover the school canteen, at the time of compulsory milk, served at 3 o'clock recess, but also the market train, at Saint-Priest-la-Roche station , the protected Madone hare, or the restaurant of the Château de la Roche when it was a farm… and a number of often funny stories. The reader will also find recipes for homemade liqueurs and aperitifs passed down from generation to generation.

Louis Pralus will participate in the town's Christmas market, Friday December 6, but also in those of Saint-Just-la-Pendue and Champoly, for the writers' forum.

Practical. This book (€15, and €20 by post) is available from the author, 2, rue du Campagnard in Vendranges. Contact: 04.77.64.94.07 ([email protected]).
