The month of November is dedicated to reading at the Book Corner with the Give to Read operation and a dedication on November 14.
Operation Give it to read
Secours populaire joins forces for the 9e times to independent bookstores to offer a book to a child who does not own one. The Give to Read operation is organized every year by the French Bookstore Union.
Thanks to the 750 independent bookstores participating in the operation and their customers, 22,000 books were offered in 2023 to children supported by Secours populaire français.

Here at the Book Corner bookstore, like every year, we renew our partnership with Secours Populaire. Give to read is a gesture of solidarity so that reading is accessible to everyone.
The principle is simple: until November 20, you can choose and add a children’s book to your purchases, then give it to us.
This book is then offered by Secours Populaire volunteers to a child or adolescent who has none or too little.
Give to read thus encourages the practice of reading among a young audience who are far from it.
