Insatiable Tintinophile, the author Albert Algoud releases a new album called “The real truth about Tintin!” which he will have the opportunity to present at the Asnières-sur-Seine book fair, in the North of Hauts-de-Seine, Saturday November 16 next.

Since my childhood, the adventures of Tintin exert such a power of reverie on my mind that I often try to perceive the echoes of this enchantment outside of the albums. Objective chance, dear to André Breton, has very often led me to unexpected discoveries on the work of Hergé”, confides Albert Algoud.

Unusual finds on Tintin

Browsing all the themes of the most popular comicsfrom fashion to cultural, historical and societal influences and references, this iconoclastic book is full of news new and unusual finds on Tintin by the undisputed specialist in this BD.

Tintinesque finds gleaned from drifts on the Internet, rummaging through second-hand dealers' stalls or in the jumble of garage sales, leafing through old or recent magazines, novels, essays, scrutinizing a photo or a painting… Each time, I exclaimed: Hey, well, there’s some Tintin! The publication of these documents only seemed interesting to me on the condition that they were produced as so many relevant questions, revelations as formidable as they were unpublished made in this work on certain aspects of the adventures of Tintin and his friends, between others: in The Black Island, does Tintin wear underwear under his kilt? ; Chang, Tintin's friend, is a communist agent? ; Is Haddock the author of a thriller published by Gallimard?… And many other researches and analyses… Without forgetting Hergé”, explains the author.
