From November 8 to 10, the town of Brive-la-Gaillarde hosts its famous Book Fair. On the occasion of the release of his work It's for a friend! – Manual for fifty-somethings (Les Arènes), on October 10, Valérie Trierweiler was present at the show with Constance Vergara, her co-author. La Montagne spoke with the two women and took the opportunity to ask questions of the former First Lady, back in Corrèze. It is the stronghold of his former companion, the former President of the Republic François Hollande.
The journalist said she was delighted to be back in this event, ten years after the release of her best-seller Thank you for this moment (Les Arènes), which goes behind the scenes of his months spent at the Élysée before his tumultuous breakup with the former head of state. “I love the Corréziens, I find them extremely friendly towards me”she confided to our colleagues at The Mountain who then asked her if she was going to meet “a famous” Corrézien, referring to François Hollande. “I don’t know, we’ll see if he comes to the stand, I don’t know who you mean, but I have an idea anyway”she replied, before explaining that she no longer held any grudges against her ex-partner: “It’s over. All that is behind.”
