The Sauldre et Sologne Book Fair, which took place from September 21 to November 2, put ten libraries in the network into action across various themes. It made it possible to give creative impetus to a group of young people from the local mission, in the premises of the Maison de l'Emploi, in Aubigny-sur-Nère.

The emergence of this idea was the creation of a convivial space around reading and the possibility of borrowing works.

The furniture, made by their hands with recycled wood and the recovery of old furniture donated by the community of municipalities, has found a second lease of life for the needs of the project.

A supported project

Karine Laffont, director of the local mission, and a large number of stakeholders fervently supported the project, facilitating the initiative of these young adults in this cultural and social approach.

The inauguration of this space took place on Thursday October 31, in the hall of the Maison de l'Emploi, in the presence of Laurence Renier, mayor of Aubigny-sur-Nère, and his constituents, but also representatives of the community of municipalities and the local mission, local elected officials and the head of Travail, Carine Kistela.

After the history and presentation of the work of the young people, the ceremony was closed with a reception.
