Saint Georges. A successful book festival

Saint Georges. A successful book festival
Saint Georges. A successful book festival

This Saturday day took place in the best conditions in the presence of many children from nearby schools.

At 9:30 a.m., the show opened in the town hall. Fourteen authors in various genres (novels, short stories, thrillers, children’s literature, heritage) were present with the participation of the bookstore “Mots Lierres et Mots Passants” which recently opened its doors in Libos.

Then, in the associations hall, cycle 3 students from the Rural Educational Territory (libos, Tournon, Saint-Vite and Saint-Georges schools and the Libos college) were able to meet the author Antonio Carmona. Around fifty children, accompanied by their parents of course, were present. Beforehand, on Thursday and Friday, Antonio Carmona had led workshops on writing, for all the classes concerned, at the Salle des Fêtes in Saint-Georges. At 11 a.m., in front of the village hall, the show by Cédric Moulié and David Tormena took place – a show combining stories and music. A performance full of humor and poetry which was greatly appreciated by the many children present.

At 12 p.m. the time came to award the literary prize to Antonio Carmona for his book “Lucifer suffered a lot”, which talks about school bullying. This book festival benefited from a very good attendance in the morning, the afternoon was calmer. It should be added that this event was financed by National Education and that Antonio Carmona’s book was offered to each child (approximately 150), by town halls or Parents’ Associations.
