The Heritage Endowment Fund and Arquus are pleased to announce the release of the book L’EBR Panhard, a French innovation by Colonel (er) Thomas Seignon. This volume is the first in a collection, published by History & Collectionswhich will retrace the history of the most legendary armored vehicles that shaped the military history of the 20th century.

This first book is devoted to a major vehicle created by Panhard, combining rusticity and innovation, the Armored Reconnaissance Vehicle (EBR). Designed to respond to an Army program, the EBR entered service in 1951. Demonstrating remarkable mobility and great firepower, this vehicle notably participated in the Cold War, providing technological advancement in the mechanized armored corps, and accompanied generations of riders in France, Germany and North Africa from 1951 to 1980.

This innovative fiber still characterizes the DNA of Arquus today.

Through this research work, Colonel (er) Thomas Seignon shares his passion for armored vehicles and offers all enthusiasts the opportunity to relive the epic tale of this unforgettable vehicle.

The Arquus Heritage Endowment Fund therefore decides to launch various projects in order to bring to life the prestigious history of its original brands.

A true link between the past and the present, the Conservatory of Automobile and Military Heritage of Garchizy (COPAM) brings together 120 vehicles… including an EBR!

For enthusiasts and those curious about armored vehicles, COPAM opens its doors on September 21, 2024 on the occasion of the European Heritage Days.

During this day, Colonel (er) Thomas Seignon will hold a signing session.
