The secrets of a campaign teacher

After “Cabossé”, his first autobiographical novel, Thierry Cazenave returns with a second work, “Un instit de campagne”, the vision of a rural school teacher, a tender and committed story.

After a long professional experience in human resources, Thierry Cazenave decided to change his life. This original Parisian is heading towards the South-West. Driven by the desire to transmit fundamental knowledge to young students, he passed the school teacher competition. Today teaching in a CM1/CM2 class, he is director of the Xaintrailles school. His novel is inspired by this experience, a tender look at the role of a country schoolteacher, between teacher and confidant, but it also aims to reaffirm the principles and values which have made our educational model strong. Bluntly, he takes a lucid and critical look at the educational institution, highlighting its successes and its dysfunctions.
