The little ones in the middle nursery section were delighted on Friday May 17 when they returned to school. For some time now, the students of Dominique Debackère, teacher, and Doris Canalès, Atsem, have been discovering albums with the help of the association Le Prix des incorruptibles.

The goal is to arouse the desire and desire to read among young people through reading activities. To be incorruptible, you must read the selected works, form an opinion and vote for the favorite book.

On the program of discoveries for these little Codognanese aged 4 and 5: A Bear without a Story, The Lost Book, A Rabbit and a Rabbit and a Rabbit, The Big Grrr, The Thing Too Good And I dreamed of an elephant. “The children practice memorizing the names of the characters, understanding the problem, observing the images to explain where things are happening, opening up to other themes…”, explains the teacher.

The elections have been preparing for a week. Everyone has their own identity card, their voter card. Then, to the classification and verification of the ballots and envelopes.

The children knowing they would be absent on the big day were even able to provide a proxy. And this Friday was the big day. After everyone presented themselves for verification of documents, went through the voting booth, initialed the voting list and put their ballot in the ballot box, at the counting stage the children were delighted to discover that with 18 votes out of 23 voters (5 absent), this is the work The Lost Book who won the competition for this literary prize.

The class is now waiting until June 15 to know the results at the national level.
