First edition of the Radio-Canada Caroline-Dawson Prize — Revue Les libraires

Caroline Dawson has been able to touch many people, as much through her work as by her generous presence during her public appearances, notably thanks to her collaboration within the radio show There will always be culture.

Thus, Émilie Perreault, at the helm of the show, launched the initiative to create a literary prize in memory of the author, who died last spring. She wanted to pay tribute to him by saluting a novel or an essay published by an emerging French-speaking Canadian from a diverse background. The Radio-Canada Caroline-Dawson Prize has a $2,000 scholarship, in addition to benefiting from an audio recording on the OHdio platform. In addition, the winner will be able to participate in the jury for the Story Prize of the Radio-Canada Creation Awards as well as in the next edition of the Radio-Canada Caroline-Dawson Prize.

The five finalist works were determined by members of the teamThere will always be culturethe Diversity, Inclusion and Mobilization sector and the Audio and Radio sector of Radio-Canada.
