A first book fair for Dream Passers

The second year of Dream Passers was full of various events. In March, laughter and good humor were there with Laurent Baffie’s play, Knock Knock. In May, a nostalgia sequence highlighted French song with the repertoire of Jean Ferrat. On June 15, they celebrated street arts with an evening dedicated to theater, street music and clown performance, entitled In the shadow of the hill.

Saturday October 5 will take place the first book fair and delicacies in Cassagnoles, combining food for the mind and the body.

Fred Bologsen, former police commander

On the literature side, around twenty regional authors will be present and will offer their works and sign them. This will be an opportunity to interact with them, to discover their writing process, their sources of inspiration and the varied worlds in which they operate. All genres will be represented: local novels, love stories, thrillers, children’s literature, etc.

Among the authors present, Fred Blogsen, retired former police commander, living in Saint-Drézéry in Hérault. After around fifteen years of theater, he began writing detective novels in 2018. Already seven titles published, with a recurring hero, the commissioner Joseph Jo Corti, a forty-something of Corsican origin, with a strong character, loving life, a big reader, a little provocative, full of humor and often investigating in a borderline way. An atypical cop with effective methods even if they are not always very orthodox…

A magician will present some tricks, and a calligrapher from Cassagnoles will demonstrate his art.

The library, partner of the event, will open its doors all day and will offer activities for young audiences, including story readings and coloring workshops.

Artisans from Piedmont and the Cévennes

As for delicacies, visitors will be able to taste sweet and savory products such as honey, jams, strawberries, raspberries, chestnuts, as well as an aperitif range, chutneys and vegetable pâtés, all from artisans in Piedmont and Cévennes. Something to treat yourself and anticipate Christmas presents.

Around noon, the mayor will inaugurate the lounge, before sharing a friendly drink offered by the municipality. Throughout the day, Passeurs de rêve volunteers will offer a refreshment bar and fast food. The show will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the grand foyer at Espace Guiraud. Entrance is free.
