The Hors Concours Academy unveils the second selection for its 2024 prize. Every year since 2016, the Hors Concours prize rewards authors published by independent publishing houses. In continuation of this distinction, the Academy aims to promote writers and texts from independent editions.
Among the 40 novels in the running, the jury identified five finalists. They will be read by the reading committee made up of nearly 500 book professionals and readers who will designate public mention. The winners of the Hors Concours prizes will be revealed on November 26, 2024 in Paris at the Maison de la Poésie. They will succeed Soufiane Khaloua pour The Valley of the Lazhars (éditions Agullo), et Caroline Bouffault pour Thelma (Fugue editions).
