Luxury advances at the pace of sport. While the capital and its surroundings will be galvanized by the Games in a few months, Louis Vuitton will publish two books in June, a Book around and a special City Guide dedicated to sport.

The city of lights under the prism of Louis Vuitton

On June 14, two new books will be available in Louis Vuitton stores, on its website and in a selection of bookstores. The first is the City Book Paris, a variation of the City Guide Paris, launched almost three decades ago, in the form of a beautiful book. On 400 pages, the book relates the riches of the city and its changes. There we find stories about its architecture with its majestic facades, its tourist circuits and its addresses, both legendary and trendy. Its history and its communities, like youth and artists, are also told, helping to provide an open and changing view of the era of time. A beautiful book, the pages are adorned with drawings and color photographs. To reach a wide audience, the work is available in French, English and Chinese.

The second book is a Exclusive special issue of the City Guide Paris focused on the theme of sport. Several stories are revealed, such as the disciplines practiced according to the neighborhoods, the culture of Parisian sport and the iconic places where effort is the master of death. “Rigorous athletes, lovers of the great outdoors and tarmac, sofa athletes thirsty for the history of sport and Olympic epics, sportswear champions of all categories… all readers will find basketball to suit them here” described Louis Vuitton in a press release.

A limited edition box set including this Special Edition City Guide dedicated to sport and an updated Paris City Guide will be available, still from June 14, in the brand’s boutiques, at Le Bon Marché and La Samaritaine.

Louis Vuitton, big luxury winner of the Olympic Games?

As the launch of the Olympic Games is fast approaching, Louis Vuitton, like many other houses, focuses its communication and activations on the sporting theme. Between the recruitment of athlete ambassadors, such as recently the rugby player Antoine Dupont, and the creation of the trunks which will hold the medals and torches of the Olympic Games, the brand intends to be at the forefront during this sporting event with immeasurable commercial benefits.

Especially since its parent company, the LVMH group, is the Premium partner of the competition. The number one luxury firm recently presented the program for its Cultural Olympiad, promoting the link between its brands and the world of sport.
