Colline Hoarau left her native Réunion to go to where she settled professionally. For several months, with her husband, she has lived in Larroque, not far from her two children, a lifestyle choice, but also a crush on this house steeped in history where she writes almost every morning. “It’s a real pleasure. I’m disciplined, I stick to it in order to organize my ideas, to put words into words, within a time frame that I impose on myself.”

For ten years she has been publishing fiction and anticipation novels, sometimes mixed with autobiographical elements. She even writes for children, a real joy for this teacher from Breton in a nursery school, her last job, after having held responsibilities as chief of staff in the local civil service or at a large insurance group, displaying computer skills.

Retired, very active, delegate to the Industrial Court, she has supported her husband who suffers from Parkinson’s disease for around twenty years, a situation which inspired her in her latest novel “Parkinson: our life as a trio” , a work where everyone tells their story: the patient, the illness and the caregiver. A life for three with “its share of unforeseen events, difficulties but also a stronger bond.” This is a book intended to help people who deal with this illness, to understand it in a simple way.

At the same time, a wind of freshness is blowing on the banks of the Save where we may perhaps encounter one of these cuddly toys for which Ms. Hoarau wonders “What do cuddly toys do when children are sleeping”, an illustrated album intended for 5-9 years old.

The author will dedicate her two works at the Vival supermarket in Saint-Plancard, this Friday morning, September 27.
