“Celebrating the art of telling about other worlds, deciphering ours and imagining possible futures”: these are the objectives of Dimension, the book fair which is being held this Saturday, April 27 in . The city has decided to launch the first edition of a cultural event focused on science and science fiction, in partnership with La Fringale culturelle, la aux livres and Cinépal. More than twenty authors will be present to interact with the public, sign their writings, not forgetting six round tables held throughout the day.

“Historically anchored in a literary land, where illustrious figures such as George Sand, Alexandre Dumas and Charles Péguy drew their inspiration, Palaiseau is reinventing itself today as a bastion of innovation and scientific research, thus shaping the future of literature, say the organizers. The Dimension show offers a bridge between these two identities, bringing together authors of novels, comics, essays and scientists. »

An audience of guests

Among the guests, the physicochemist and director of the French center for culinary innovation at the University of -Saclay Raphaël Haumont, acolyte of starred chef Thierry Marx, will be able to discuss the cuisine of the future or the “failures” in the recipes that he mentions in his latest book published a few days ago by Flammarion.

Visitors will also be able to meet astronaut Philippe Perrin, novelists Mathieu Simonet, Grégor Péan, Delaflotte and Émilie Querballec. In parallel with this show, the George-Sand media library is presenting the exhibition “Magda, intergalactic cook”, a comic strip by Mathilde Van Gheluwe with 15 original plates and 15 reproductions.

This Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Place de la Victoire for the signing village, Place Toussaint Louverture for round tables (same times), exhibition of comic strips by Magda, intergalactic cook by Mathilde Van Gheluwe at the George-Sand media library from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., two guided tours by the artist in the afternoon.
