The Échappée Livre bookstore is part of an association of independent booksellers in , l’Alido, which is launching a fortnight from September 20 to October 6. As part of this, it is highlighting the work of the publishing house “Plume de carotte”. As part of this initiative, it will invite one of their authors on Saturday, September 21, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Séverine Duchesne. Séverine is an illustrator and works for several youth publishing houses. The books she illustrated for “Plume de carotte” are themed around nature, exploring gardens, and meeting animals. L’Échappée Livre fell in love with the series she created on her own, “Les petits plaisirs de…”, four albums, for winter, spring, summer and the one that’s in the news… autumn. She will come to sign her books and hold a paper cutting workshop at the bookstore on the theme of the “green thumb”. That’s good, the festival of independent bookstores had precisely chosen “The hand” as its common thread. The workshop invites little hands to cut, fold, and glue. It is intended for 6-10 year olds, by registering at the bookstore or by phone at 05 63 41 90 44. The workshop is free.
