Lady Gaga’s Stunning Engagement Ring: All the Details

We know this already: Lady Gaga is a maximalist. In all things, but especially in jewelry. (Three words: Tiffany yellow diamond.) So it may have come as a surprise to many when, during a swimming event at the Paris Olympics this past summer, she introduced Michael Polansky, her partner since 2019, as her fiancé to France’s Prime Minister Gabriel Attal—and yet, no ring in sight. But actually, engagement rumors had been swirling since April, when the singer was photographed by paparazzi in West Hollywood with a giant diamond on her ring finger.

That diamond has finally made its official world debut. The singer arrived at the Venice Film Festival earlier this week for the premiere of her new movie, Joker: Madness for Twoand proudly showed off her rock for all to see—and it did not disappoint.

Experts consulted by Page Six estimate the oval-cut diamond might weigh up to 20 carats, and that it likely cost Polansky—who is the executive director of Facebook co-founder Sean Parker’s foundation—between $500,000 to $2 million.

Its size notwithstanding, this just may be Lady Gaga’s most classic engagement ring to date. She has been engaged twice before: In 2015, actor Taylor Kinney proposed on Valentine’s Day with a heart-shaped diamond from Lorraine Schwartz, and then in 2018, she got a pink sapphire surrounded by diamonds from talent agent Christian Carino. As for what she has since done with these stones, we can only guess.
