Mâcon, August 3, 2023. While walking with her dog in the evening towards the campsite where she is staying, and preparing to cross on a pedestrian crossing, Sandra is knocked down by a car. An accident that could have been fatal for her: 14 fractures to the ribs, pelvis and collarbone, and a few days in intensive care.
The vehicle fled and was only found the next day on a small road. It was quickly learned that the driver in question was none other than Marwan Berreni. Many witnesses also claim to have encountered him in a nightclub in Mâcon near the scene of the accident.
Actor in More beautiful life – he played the lawyer Abdel Fedala – he remains untraceable. In mid-August, his family launched a missing person report while the networks and the press went wild. Did he flee abroad? Was he himself the victim of an accident?
His parents even published an open letter in October, begging him: “Marwan, if you think you need help to chase away this dark cloud that hangs over you and makes you feel sadness and despair; so that everything will be better tomorrow; Marwan, our son, face your fears.”
Without success. Until October 12, when, in an isolated farm in the Rhône, a body was discovered hanging with the actor’s papers next to it. The autopsy confirmed that he had killed himself in early August. Eaten up by guilt? The actor had not left a letter in any case.
Since then, his loved ones have been trying to grieve. While Plus belle la vie, encore plus belle paid tribute to him, his family put his house up for sale. And his alleged victim has spoken out in the press, discussing the aftermath of the accident and regretting the lack of a trial.
