It’s time for congratulations! On Monday, September 2, the Swedish royal family took to their official Instagram account to announce some happy news: Carl Philip and Sofia of Sweden are expecting their fourth child. In the caption of a photo of the couple in the great outdoors, we can read: : “Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia are pleased to announce that the Princess is expecting her fourth child.“The Crown also gives more details: “Princess Sofia is doing well and is due in February 2025.”
If Princess Sofia is pregnant, the Swedish royal family clarifies that the official schedule for Julian’s mother “should not be changed during the fall.” As a reminder, Carl Philip and his wife are already the parents of three boys: Alexander, 8 years old, Gabriel, 7 years old and Julian, 3 years old. Will the next member of their clan once again be a boy or on the contrary a girl? Answer in a few months!

Carl Philip and Sofia of Sweden: Focus on their love story
Carl Philip of Sweden met Sofia of Sweden in the summer of 2008, at a dinner with friends. It was love at first sight. After the meal, the lovers continued the evening in a popular club in the city of Båstad, located on the Swedish coast. Already a couple when they met, Victoria of Sweden’s brother quickly ended his relationship with Emma Pernald, whom he had already been seeing for a decade. The new couple made their romance official two years later. Their engagement was announced in June 2014 and the wedding took place almost a year later, on June 13, 2015. Today, the couple live a fulfilling family life and regularly share videos and photos of their three boys who continue to grow on social networks. A new member will soon appear and once again expand the Swedish royal family.
