Dominique P. or the secrets of the house of Mazan

Dominique Pélicot, 71, was a domestic rapist. He acted in the darkness and silence of his shuttered room. For about ten years, this father and grandfather, thus offered his sleeping wife to about fifty men.

To satisfy his most twisted fantasies. The wife was not consenting. She was drugged without her knowledge, knocked out by sleeping pills. Gisèle had never suspected anything, nor had the rest of her family.

When the investigators opened her eyes, she discovered a husband she did not know. Another man. At first, she did not believe in such a degree of perversion.

An extraordinary rapist who, moreover, in the process, was indicted in another case, the 1991 murder of a real estate agent. He denies this accusation. Dominique Pélicot is now on trial for the rape of his wife.

A “two-faceted” personality

On Thursday, February 11, 2021, a first psychiatrist examines Dominique Pélicot. The latter lists the many deviations of the suspect: caudalism, the practice of observing one’s partner with other people, voyeurism or even somnophilia, having sexual relations with a sleeping individual.

For the psychiatrist, the wife’s inertia allowed Dominique Pélicot “to increase his feeling of control, of mastery and to add acts of humiliation”. The expert notes that everything was filmed. Participants report the very crude remarks that the husband made about his wife.

Lack of empathy and psychorigidity

“His wife is then reduced to the rank of an object,” says the doctor. Before him, a personality investigator had described a “two-faceted” personality. Thursday, December 1, 2022, a new psychiatric expert confirms a cameo of sexual fantasies in which the suspect would evolve.

A man who found pleasure in seeing his wife degraded and used as bait. The expert writes that Dominique Pélicot’s criminal dangerousness is high. He notes “the absence of empathy, the psychorigidity, the astonishing emotional coldness of the person concerned”. A character who would be in denial and denial.
