Behind the scenes of Ernest Nuamah’s failed transfer

In the final hours of this transfer window, Olympique Lyonnais accelerated its transfer window by completing the arrivals of Warmed Omari and Wilfried Zaha. In terms of departures, Sinaly Diomandé, Mama Baldé and Orel Mangala left the club. But one departure ultimately did not happen: that of Ernest Nuamah (20 years old). While Fulham was supposed to sign him, the English club had reached an agreement with OL, who are ready to sell their player if they recover their stake, to the tune of €28.5 million. A file that was supposed to be made official while OL had just won their first victory of the season, against Strasbourg (4-3).

But ultimately the transfer fell through, as reported The Team. The Ghanaian decided at the last minute not to join Fulham, where he was supposed to sign for €19 million in the final minutes of the transfer window. The winger, whose purchase option had been exercised for €28.5 million at the beginning of July, has therefore decided to continue the adventure with OL, in an attack where competition will be tough. The English press even announces that Fulham were trying Reiss Nelson in the final seconds of the transfer window.
