IRM places several provinces on yellow alert

LThe weather will be mostly dry and sunny on Saturday afternoon. However, medium to high altitude cloud formations could partially obscure the sky at times, according to the midday forecast from the IRM. The maximum temperatures will be between 22 and 25 degrees in the Ardennes and between 26 and locally 29 degrees in the plains.

At the end of the day, clouds may become more numerous from the southwest of the country. The weather will remain dry. The maximums will be between 22 and 25 degrees in the Ardennes and between 26 and locally 29 degrees in the plains.

This evening and in the first part of the night, the sky will become very cloudy to overcast with rain and showers from the southwest. Thunderstorms, heavy precipitation in a short time and strong gusts will be possible, especially in the western half of the territory. Gusts of up to 70 km/h or even locally a little more will be possible. The IRM has placed several provinces on yellow thunderstorm alert from 7 p.m. until 3 a.m. Sunday.

On Sunday morning, large clearings will alternate with low cloud fields. The latter may locally release a few drops even if the weather will generally remain dry. In the afternoon, the sky will open up further with large clearings. At the end of the day, cloudiness will increase in the west and will be followed by some light rain or a shower in the far west.
