The new format includes a championship phase with 36 teams and a single ranking: first day between 17 and 19 September, last round on 29 January.
The top eight teams advance directly to the round of 16; the teams ranked ninth to 24th play-offs for the knockout stage, with the winners advancing to the round of 16.
From that moment on, the competition will continue with the classic knockout formula.
