The Namibia national women’s cricket team anticipates an “exciting” T20 International Capricorn Eagles Tri-Series.

The series starts in Windhoek on Friday, with Namibia due to battle it out against Zimbabwe and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The competition at Wanderers Cricket Ground runs until 14 September and will be contested in a round-robin format, with the team that tops the table at the end of the series taking honours.

“The Capricorn Eagles Tri-Series represents Cricket Namibia’s ongoing commitment to bringing high-quality, competitive cricket to Namibian soil. Hosting this tournament in Windhoek underscores our dedication to elevating the profile of women’s cricket in our country and providing our national team with valuable international exposure,” Cricket Namibia said in statement on Wednesday.

“Cricket Namibia is proud to host such a prestigious event at home, giving our fans the opportunity to witness top-tier women’s cricket. The Capricorn Eagles are ready to take on the challenge, and we are excited to see how they perform against Zimbabwe and the UAE.”

Cricket Namibia invited sport enthusiasts and supporters to come out to the Wanderers Cricket Ground to support the Capricorn Eagles as they battle it out in this exciting international series.
