After the long battle over the inheritance, Johnny Hallyday’s widow seems to be trying to reconcile with the rocker’s eldest. On the occasion of Jade’s birthday, Læticia Hallyday shared old photos of her daughter and her big brother together, hinting at a possible reconciliation.
Johnny Hallyday’s death left his four children divided and at war over his inheritance. While David Hallyday and Laura Smet joined forces to claim their share, Jade and Joy sided with their mother, Læticia, who asked that her husband’s last wishes be respected and therefore that the two eldest receive nothing.
After insulting and tearing each other apart through the media, it could be time for reconciliation among the Hallydays. August 31 marked Jade’s 20th birthday. For the occasion, her mother took to her Instagram account to share photos of the young woman’s childhood and adolescence. Images in which Johnny Hallyday is of course omnipresent, but he is not the only one.

In one of the photos chosen by Læticia Hallyday, appears David, the son that Johnny had with Sylvie Vartan, smiling alongside his two sisters, his father and his stepmother. Sisters to whom he always reached out despite the legal battle that opposed him to Læticia. However, they had declared to “Paris Match” that they would never forgive their elders.

Hand outstretched to David but nothing for Laura
While the August 31 publication may sound like an attempt at reconciliation to which David has not publicly responded, there is no image of the rocker’s fourth child, Laura Smet. She has nevertheless become much closer to David since their father’s death, but she has never spoken out about her two little sisters who accuse her of abandoning them.
On August 31, the actress remained silent to celebrate Jade’s second decade. Læticia’s eldest was still able to count on messages from her mother and Joy, the latter responding with a shower of hearts to the Instagram post of Johnny’s widow. A post in the form of a great declaration of love where she declares in particular “it seems to me that it was yesterday that your dad and I held you for the first time in our arms.” If all the family conflicts are therefore not resolved, the memory of Johnny seems to be the element that continues to occupy the minds of the whole family.
