Experienced presenter Sacha Daout will take over the weekend news on La Une from mid-November. Alternating with his colleague Mariam Alard, he will succeed Laurent Mathieu, who will now focus on presenting the 7:30 p.m. weekday editions.

Well known to the public, Sacha Daout is no stranger to television news, having already filled in several times in this role.

To take on this new challenge, he will be able to draw on his wealth of experience, particularly in 2020, when he hosted the many special editions during the Covid-19 crisis. After presenting “In Your Opinion”he is now at the head of “QR News” Mondays and Tuesdays, as well as “QR the Debate” on Wednesdays, engaging in interactive dialogue with citizens.

It is a mark of confidence that touches me deeply.

Sacha Daout is enthusiastic about the idea of presenting the weekend newspapers as he explains to us: “I welcome this appointment with immense pleasure while being well aware of the very great responsibility that it represents. RTBF entrusts me with the reins of the JT while asking me to stay in control of QR. It is a mark of confidence that touches me deeply. In total, this makes strong challenges but I approach this new page of my career with indescribable pleasure and enthusiasm. I am delighted to join the group of JT presenters and I hope to live up to the great work accomplished by all the teams who create this fundamental meeting with information.”

The presenter will continue to host “QR The Debate”his live Wednesday evening show, while also presenting the news every other weekend.
