For Matteo Dams, the home match of PSV against Go Ahead Eagles is the match of his starting debut for the Eindhoven team. The twenty-year-old Belgian is preferred by trainer Peter Bosz on the left in the defense.

Dams came on as a substitute in the first three rounds of this Eredivisie season and now gets a chance in the starting line-up. Of course, this is partly due to the thin line-up at PSV’s back. Mauro Júnior and Sergiño Dest are injured and Fredrik Oppegard is also absent. The recently signed Rick Karsdorp is not yet in the match selection. Dams plays at the back with Olivier Boscagli, Ryan Flamingo and Richard Ledezma.

Jerdy Schouten is fit enough to be in the match selection, but will start on the bench. The midfield is attacking, with Joey Veerman, Guus Til and Malik Tillman as a trio.

Up front, Luuk de Jong is flanked by Johan Bakayoko and Hirving Lozano. The latter is the man in form and is preferred over Couhaib Driouech. Noa Lang is absent and is rested. The left winger is back after the international period.

PSV line-up: Benitez; Ledezma, Flamingo, Boscagli, Dams; Veerman, Til, Tillman; Bakayoko, De Jong, Lozano.
