The platoon continues its course through the province of León with a raid on Asturias in a long and demanding stage of 200 kilometers between Villafranca del Bierzo and Villablino, this being the longest stage of the entire Vuelta. A route in which the road will wind upwards towards Puerto de Cerredo (3rd) before a long descent to Cangas del Narcea to begin the long ascent to Puerto de Leitariegos, first category with its 22.8 kilometers at 4.5 that will crown at 16 kilometers arrival in Villablino before facing a rapid descent towards the finish line.
