Don’t forget your umbrella, as it promises to be a wet week with chilly autumn weather. Improvement is expected over the weekend.

It will be cloudy on Monday with showers or periods of rain. Especially in the north of the country and on the relief, the precipitation can increase in intensity and be accompanied by a clap of thunder. The maxima will vary between 14 and 21 degrees, reports the KMI. Locally, gusts of wind around 50 kilometers per hour are possible.

Monday night there will be a few showers at first but it will gradually become dry everywhere. From the west the clearings will also become wider, although in the south of the country it will remain largely cloudy with minimum temperatures between 9 and 13 degrees.

Tuesday starts dry and fairly sunny in most places, except in the Ardennes where low cloud dominates and can locally lead to some precipitation. The cloud gradually increases from the west, followed by light rain in the late afternoon or evening. During the night, a much more active rain zone will move over our country. We will reach maximums between 14 and 18 degrees.

On Wednesday morning it will still rain in the far south, while elsewhere it will be dry with wide clearings. The chance of a shower will increase during the day. In the evening the showers will become more intense, especially in the west and northwest of the country. Local thunderstorms are possible there. The maximums will drop a few degrees to values around 15 degrees in the center.

Also on Thursday, the maximums will not rise higher than 10 degrees in the High Ardennes and 15 degrees in the center. It will be partly cloudy with locally a few showers, which can certainly be intense and thundery along the coast.

Friday will remain changeable with a few more showers. It will be fresh with maximums of 11 to 16 degrees. Fortunately, the weekend promises clearings, according to weatherman David Dehenauw.
